Handouts cover tactics to meet the challenges of people seeking career change. Discussion centers on resolving dilemmas of resume writing, such as what to include or delete, as well as ways to structure the resume to advantage and add vitality to the resume presentation.

This informal workshop focuses on the interests of participants and is intended to assist in taking next steps with better results. The leader has written more than a 1,000 resumes across industries, job functions and experience levels and has given more than 150 workshops, most at public libraries.

Marilyn Tullius emphasizes designing resumes that fit the quick beat of “at-a-glance” resume reviewers and meet applicants’ needs to compete with a resume that stands out and advocates for them with impact. Marilyn earned her MS from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her core career was in strategic business and marketing planning for corporations. Her current focus is on providing assistance to individuals and entrepreneurs who are moving toward new opportunities.
